Disclaimer#1: I have chauvinistically assumed that those reading this tutorial are working with PC/Windows. I apologize to the 9% of the folks out there who work with Apple/Mac- I don't mean to leave you out, but I teach what I know. You can still follow along with the tutorial, if you understand the differences between Mac and PC.

Disclaimer #2: The first few chapters of the tutorial will seem redundant to a lot of folks who are already familiar with flash. In writing this tutorial, I am assuming that the average person reading it has never-EVER touched flash before, and needs to understand the fundamentals, before they move on to more complex elements of flash.

I do this out of a personal gripe- there's a lot of arrogance out there among people who write tutorials for Software/CMS/Web Development. Tons of tutorials have been written, that start out discussing "D" "E" and "F", assuming that the reader already understands "A" "B" and "C". Personally, this has caused me a lot of headaches, and I want this tutorial to be accessible to everyone.

Disclaimer #3: I am certain that folks who are actionscript gurus and flash gods will deride this tutorial, saying that it's clunky and primitive. All well and good. I've never claimed to be an authority on flash, and I fully admit that the flash I create is among the most primitive that you will find online today. That having been said, the primitive flash that I create has been featured on TV, film, and has been seen worldwide by an audience numbering in the millions.

I'm not saying this, to brag- I'm just pointing out that you don't need to understand the higher esoterica of flash actionscripting to create something that has mass appeal. If I can do it- so can you.
